Panoramica

Japanese Triadic Profile Capture

(TriadicFrameworks Canon Module — Shinto Pantheon)

I. Genesis Operators (Creation / Emergence / Ordering)#

Shinto genesis is cosmic emergence → divine ordering → terrestrial formation.
The operators reflect primordial separation, divine birth, and world‑structuring.

  • Izanagi — Genesis through purification, ordering, and boundary‑setting; father of major kami.
  • Izanami — Genesis through creation of land, elements, and cycles; mother of kami.
  • Ame‑no‑Minakanushi — Primordial high deity; genesis through cosmic center and first emergence.
  • Takami‑Musubi / Kami‑Musubi — Genesis through divine generative force; emergence of life and order.

Genesis Pattern:
Japanese genesis is emergent, purificatory, and genealogical — creation arises from separation, ritual, and lineage.

II. Continuance Operators (Maintenance / Harmony / Prosperity)#

Shinto continuance emphasizes ritual purity, seasonal cycles, social harmony, and protection.

  • Amaterasu — Continuance through light, order, imperial lineage, and social harmony.
  • Inari Ōkami — Continuance through agriculture, prosperity, rice, and commerce.
  • Hachiman — Continuance through protection, guidance, and national guardianship.
  • Toyouke‑Ōmikami — Continuance through food, agriculture, and sustenance.

Continuance Pattern:
Japanese continuance is ritual + seasonal + social — stability emerges from purity, cycles, and harmonious conduct.

III. Dissolution Operators (Chaos / Storm / Death / Underworld)#

Dissolution in Shinto is storm, impurity, death, imbalance, and underworld descent.

  • Susanoo — Dissolution through storms, chaos, impulsive disruption, and purification trials.
  • Kagutsuchi — Fire deity; dissolution through destructive flame and imbalance.
  • Yomi (collective realm) — Dissolution through death, impurity, and stagnation.
  • Oni (collective) — Dissolution through malevolent forces, chaos, and moral imbalance.

Dissolution Pattern:
Japanese dissolution is impurity‑driven — endings arise from imbalance, death, chaos, or violation of harmony.

IV. Liminal Operators (Threshold / Mediation / Spirit‑World)#

Shinto liminality is exceptionally strong — kami move between realms, mediate purity, and guide transitions.

  • Tsukuyomi — Liminal operator of night, cycles, and cosmic balance.
  • Sarutahiko Ōkami — Bridge‑guardian; liminal operator of pathways and transitions.
  • Kitsune (Inari’s messengers) — Trickster‑liminal beings; shapeshifting, mediation, and boundary crossing.
  • Shinigami — Liminal operators of death transition; mediators of mortal → spirit passage.

Liminal Pattern:
Japanese liminality is ritual + boundary + spirit‑world — thresholds define purity, danger, and transformation.

V. Structural Notes (Canon‑Aligned)#

  • Genesis is genealogical + purificatory, not ex nihilo.
  • Continuance is ritual + seasonal + social, emphasizing harmony.
  • Dissolution is impurity + chaos + death, not moral evil.
  • Liminality is ubiquitous, with kami crossing realms fluidly.
  • Shinto cosmology is non‑dualistic — dissolution and genesis interlock through purification.

VI. Cross‑Framework References#
